Where Magic Meets Identity

Deep within the ancient Cardrona Forest — where the line between the ordinary and the enchanted has long since blurred — an old woman named Claire makes a startling discovery: a beautiful infant, alone and unclaimed, nestled beneath a fallen tree.

Welcomed by the village of Ancrum and given the Gaelic name Kenzie — “the fair one” — the child grows up in a white cottage at the forest’s edge, raised by a healer, two faeries, and more questions than anyone can answer.

As Kenzie grows older, so does a burning need to understand who she truly is. With fierce determination and a heart full of longing, she sets out to untangle the secret of her origins — and discovers that home is not a place, but the people who never stopped choosing her.

Meet the Characters

Chloe the healer

Chloe

The Healer

A wise, solitary healer who never sought a family — until one was placed in her arms. Claire's quiet devotion anchors the story's heart, and her bog rosemary protects more than headaches.

Fergus the Fairy

Fergus

The Fairy

Good-natured and easily distracted — it was Fergus's insatiable love of honey that started it all. He's the family's most loveable liability, and the first to press a kiss to Kenzie's forehead.

Maeve the Fairy

Maeve

The Fairy

Sharp-tongued, warm-hearted, and fiercely maternal — Maeve's impulsive decision set everything in motion, and she has never quite forgiven herself (or Fergus) for it.

Kenzie

Kenzie

The Seeker

Fair-skinned, fierce, and full of questions, Kenzie refuses to let the mystery of her origins go unanswered. Her relentless spirit is both her greatest strength and her greatest challenge.
